Kathryn graduated from the University of York in 1993 and joined HSBC as a graduate trainee. She initially worked in Corporate Business Banking in the City and was responsible for a portfolio of predominately owner managed businesses and she obtained the Chartered Institute of Bankers qualification. Kathryn then moved into Financial Services within HSBC obtaining her certificate in financial advice.

Kathryn decided to specialise in taxation and in 1998 joined Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) within their middle market tax department. Having obtained her Chartered Tax qualification and being promoted to Manager she moved into the corporate tax planning group where she worked on a wide range of clients with particular emphasis on medium sized companies and shareholder tax planning.

In 2003 Kathryn and her husband Jonathan acquired their current practice. Kathryn has since developed further specialisms in estate planning, trusts and tax planning for high net worth individuals.
